Book Six is in editing. The draft and a couple of rewrites are finished and now all the technical stuff has to take place. I’m still shooting for an early June release.
The cover is made up of elements in the book. This time the hawk tile is given to Pol. He will head to grasslands at some time during the story, hence the wheat-filled background.
Preliminary Book Blurb:
Pol Cissert can’t remember his name or his origin when washed up on a strange continent. Demeron, his horse, must find a way to get Pol to a magician powerful enough to remove his curse. Without magic, it may take years to find the right person, so until then Pol has become the Misplaced Prince.
The Emperor’s Pet has just been submitted to Amazon and is now published. I put in a lot of extra time and changed my post-draft workflow to get it done, and my efforts worked. I probably saved two weeks in the process and have caught up, despite spending some quality time with Demeron last month. You will note my typical excerpt of the next book in the back of The Emperor’s Pet is a little shorter than usual. That’s so I could get this book out earlier.
The excerpt is for Book Six in the Disinherited Prince series and goes by the title The Misplaced Prince. I’m still pretty much in the planning mode, but I did know enough about where the book was headed to write part of the first chapter for the excerpt. Book Six is scheduled for the end of June.
I’ve put in some extra time to get The Emperor’s Pet out before May 1st. It is in one of two final edits and then I’ll be pushing it out of the nest. I have completed the cover and it is, for the first time anywhere…below.
I have just released Demeron: A Horse’s Tale. It’s a sixty page (20,000 word) novella depicting Demeron’s travels during Book Three: A Sip of Magic. Here is my first version of the cover. It just might be a little dark. What do you think?
Book Four in the Disinherited Prince Series is now out. Here is the blurb:
Carrying an amulet given to him by his late mother, Pol Cissert seizes on an opportunity to travel to a far off city in search of his roots. He has no idea that the journey is no easy jaunt. Chased by magicians, thugs, pirates, and priests, he seeks his legacy by seeking the Cathedral of the Sleeping God. Pol finds that the truth isn’t always something everyone wants.
FANTASY – EPIC / SWORD & SORCERY / YOUNG ADULT
I won’t get the paperback finished until sometime in March. I had to push things to get the e-book version out before the end of February. I didn’t think it would make it, but it did. It is exclusively on Amazon.
It was a hard slog, but A Sip of Magic, the third volume of the Disinherited Prince series just went live on Amazon for Kindle. The paperback will be published next week. I wanted to get it out before Christmas and I made it! Now for a few days immersing myself in the holiday spirit, and then it’s on to Book 4, The Sleeping God.
I am happy to announce that The Monk’s Habit, the second book in the Disinherited Prince Series, is now available on Amazon in both kindle and paperback formats.
Now on to the third book in the series, A Sip of Magic. I’ve started writing it in between edits, so we will be looking at a December introduction.
My twenty-third book has just been published. The Disinherited Prince is the first book in a new series. In my previous post I gave the blurb for the book. We will see where this series goes, but it is currently scheduled to be a seven book series. We pick up Pol, the disinherited prince, at twelve years old and will see him grow in the first few books. As he gets older his horizons change and he will change, struggling with his identity, his talent and his place in the Baccusol Empire.
It is available at Amazon as an kindle book and in paperback form.
Send me an email and let me know how you like the book.
By the way, the next book in the series is already underway. This one has to title of The Monk’s Habit.
Now that Trak and Valanna have tied the knot and finished their adventures, a new character comes to town. Here is the preliminary back cover blurb:
Poldon Fairfield, a twelve-year-old prince has no desire to rule, since his poor health has convinced them that he will not live long enough to sit on any throne. Matters take a turn for the worse when his father, the King of North Salvan, decides his oldest will rule in a far away country where Pol’s mother is first in line of succession, followed by Pol, her only child. Pol learns that he has developed a talent for magic, and that may do him more harm than good as he must struggle to survive among his half-siblings, now turned hostile against him.
The first book of the series is in editing and is expected to debut towards the end of August, 2016. I’ve included a preliminary version of the cover and I must admit that I like it.
The latest book in the Power of Poses series, Magician In Captivity is now available at Amazon and Createspace and is coming soon to most e-book retailers.
Here is the blurb:
