I’m making good progress on The Monk’s Habit. I’ve sent it to my editor. I have just gotten the new cover. The device for The Monk’s Habit is something you will find in the book. The crown pin on The Disinherited Prince cover didn’t show up in that story. Now that the draft of the second volume is in someone else’s hands I can begin on Book Three. The working title for the third adventure is A Sip of Magic, A Taste of the Blade. That comes from the way Pol uses magic as a pattern-master.
My twenty-third book has just been published. The Disinherited Prince is the first book in a new series. In my previous post I gave the blurb for the book. We will see where this series goes, but it is currently scheduled to be a seven book series. We pick up Pol, the disinherited prince, at twelve years old and will see him grow in the first few books. As he gets older his horizons change and he will change, struggling with his identity, his talent and his place in the Baccusol Empire.
It is available at Amazon as an kindle book and in paperback form.
Send me an email and let me know how you like the book.
By the way, the next book in the series is already underway. This one has to title of The Monk’s Habit.
Magician In Battle, the fourth and final installment of the Power of Poses series debuted on June 24, 2016 and is currently available on Amazon and other e-book retailers.
It’s always a bit sad to say goodbye to the characters I’ve created, but, as usual, my folks have left their worlds in a better place than how they found them.
I will take a hiatus from writing fantasy over the summer and will return with a new series, yet to be titled, in the fall.
Trak Bluntwithe must continue his life after his disastrous visit to Balbaam. He continues with his group to Kizru, the Toryan capital, intent on freeing his father and stepfather, Neel and Able. Life only gets more complicated for him.
Valanna must continue her life, now as a princess. Nothing seems to be easy as she must reassert her own identity in her new circumstances.
The world of Trak continues to seethe with revolution and betrayal. Magician in Battle, Book Four concludes the Power of Poses series.
Scheduled for release by the end of June, 2016
Here is the blurb:

Waiting for a tardy beta reader for Anoria put some extra time in my hands. So I dusted off the manuscript of my first novel and put it through some serious rewriting. It had been through a number of readers years and years ago, but I still needed to spruce it up and now it’s about ready for release. I’ll be proofing the copy in the next two weeks and expect an end of June, beginning of July release. Anoria of Valir will be coming out in July.
Hand of Grethia is a space opera in the old tradition. Here is the current blurb:
A nuclear cataclysm pushed Grethia, a remote planet, into a dark age. A religion emerged to suppress technology by calling it sacred, holy and not for the world. A king broke the control of the priesthood in his kingdom and began to bring crude technology back to life.
A young man, his space ship sabotaged, finds himself marooned on Grethia. Through insight, courage and luck, he struggles with the static forces of the status quo and, together with the king, defeats the enemies of progress.
His conflicts don’t end as he finds a way off the planet and confronts those who want to end his very existence and destroy the planet’s hard-won victory over the religion. The Hand of Grethia takes the reader from a Galactic civilization of space ships and high technology to the dark ages and back in an exciting space opera adventure.
Here are the current versions of the covers for both Anoria of Valir – The Vampiric Menace and Hand of Grethia
Bloodstone will be released on Amazon on March 2nd. It’s available for pre-order right now. The cover is about the same as the one I posted below. I will change the pink tinge of the title slightly in the next few weeks. Too pink for me.
Darkstone | An Evil Reborn is still scheduled for release during the first week of April.
After hundreds of Moonstone | Magic That Binds sales in six weeks, it has gotten a 4.4 rating out of 5.0 stars on Goodreads. A couple of one-star reviews have dragged down the Amazon rating a bit. I’ll not comment on those…
Sunstone | Dishonor’s Bane is also selling at a good clip.
What I’m somewhat gratified to see is that readers are picking up my other books. Not as many are buying the others, but I’m grateful that the other stories are getting a read.
Thanks if you’ve picked up any of my books.
I am making progress with getting Sunstone and Bloodstone out. Sunstone is ready to go. Got the final proof today. Perhaps there might be the first chapter of Bloodstone inserted at the back. Still thinking about that.
I’ve just about got the cover of Bloodstone finalized. I’ve got a couple edit runs to go and that one
will be ready. I’m afraid I’ll need it because Darkstone is likely to get a very thorough examination.
Anyway, here is the Bloodstone cover. I like it and I don’t think there will be much change before the third book in the Warstone Quartet is finished. The Bloodstone is a teardrop (or a blood drop, if you will) shape. Of the two swords, one is polished and represents youth and the other is well worn and represents age.
